Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and LET US RUN with endurance the race set before us, LOOKING UNTO JESUS, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." Homeschooling.. oh the joys :)

What do you do when your husband gets called in to work last minute for an over time night shift????? You first Thank God for His faithfulness and your hard working honey :) then...... You put the kiddos to sleep at 8:30, pop yourself a bowl of pop corn and then get cozy in your bed with a Masterpiece movie, a chocolate see sucker to enjoy after the bowl of popcorn ( got to have something sweet after you eat something salty :), and your laptop so you can print all the new Target coupons(thats a whole other post :) and write a post for your blog:) Yep that is what you do and what I am doing right now!
So I was going to share a few things we did for homeschooling last week.... First I want to say if you have Round Table pizza near you then give them a call and see if they do tours, then gather a group of kids and get down there to take a tour.... This is what I did on Wednesday morning for our Youngsters Club... The boys had so much fun seeing what happens "behind the scenes"... walking into the big fridge, making a pizza and then the best part they got to enjoy a pizza snack and soda... and guess what... it was ALL FREE!!!!

Next ..... Have Daddy's day off be science project day!!!!
There is no way I could have done it by myself with needing to read the very poorly written directions, have the kids make sure they are recording their predictions, and results, get the items needed, etc.. etc... etc.. and still been patience and make it fun.. :) you get the picture... so a daddy is a MUST... We did the tasty science kit.. and let just say it wasn't so tasty after all but we learn about acid and bases, made our own soda, saw a cake with/ without leavening agent, made rock candy, flavored sugar.. It was very eventful :)

Then... when you have fellow homeschool friends over... Reading history is so much more exciting when you have your friend read it to you... They read the story of Buffalo Bill and after reading it went and reacted it in the backyard :)

They sat and read for 45 minutes!!!!

Next when you have a very needy little girl.....
And the boys are looking like this.....

Know that even though you didn't get everything done....  It is time to STOP and enjoy some lunch outside

Homeschooling.. oh the joys :)
