Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and LET US RUN with endurance the race set before us, LOOKING UNTO JESUS, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." Heb 12:1&2

back online soon???

Wow I feel so out of touch with the world without a computer.... My sweet sister saw my longing face while at her house last night and has graciously let me borrow her laptop for the day.... Thank you sis... love ya :)
So I just wanted to say that we are alive and well and will hopefully be getting back online within the next few weeks. I have lots to update... like no longer having a 4 yr old.... homeschooling the first month.... and more :)

What to do when mom takes the kids???

Go buy paint, brushes, masking tape, paint pans..... and repaint your living room and hallway..... This what I did a few weekends ago while my mom had the kids. I was supposed to be getting ready for starting school but.... that didn't sound fun so instead I got the OK from the honey . That was all I needed :) It was off to home depot we went.....

 The Blue Room Before

Ok so I painted, and after a day and a half was done and ready to clean up... It was 3pm and I had been painting since 930 that morning non stop.. so I was hungry.. I made myself a smoothie and was trying to drink it while standing on the ladder taking down tape.. well this is where that bright idea got me.....

What you don't see in the pictures is the smoothie all over the freshly painted wall and trim... Mat's uniform, my wall calendar and the curtains..... wow it was a complete mess and all I could do was sit there in shock and laugh :)

And this is what it looks like now..
after it was all painted it was a bit more yellow than I wanted but it is growing on me now.. and it makes the room look so much bigger

Our new school room/ laundry room

The hallway and a very cute little girl :)
So that is what I did with my weekend without kids and with a husband working!!

Greeting Class

 Greeting students,
Welcome to your first day of school!!  I am so glad to have the privilege to be not only your teacher but also your mom :) My goal for you this year is to grow more in the knowledge of Him who made you, saves you and sustains you. I pray that Jesus stays the center of our homeschooling this year. That we don't get caught up in the state standards, grade levels, lesson plans and forget why we are doing what we are doing....
My other goal is to make learning a fun life long experience not a  daily drudgery..... Not something confined to a daily 30 minute text book lesson... So the adventure awaits us as we read about children in countries all over the world.. as we get a glimpse into what daily life is like for them.... your passport applications are filled out and our wonderful world adventure is awaiting us..... Let the fun begin.

Daddy made us his special eggs for breakfast
Jayden is getting into the song they are listening too while eating breakfast...
We Sing  Children Around the World :)
This is what our house looks like from 8am to 1:30 pm
