Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and LET US RUN with endurance the race set before us, LOOKING UNTO JESUS, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." Camping

Not too sure if you can call it camping but more like outdoor sleeping vacation as one of my friends says :) But call it what you want we call it FUN!!!!! Will we ever go back to "regular" back woods camping again??? Not to sure after the trip we enjoyed last week. I have to admit that while I was so crazy busy running around like a chicken with my head cut off ( that saying means so much more when you have actually seen how a chicken runs without a head :) the day before camping... Washing, Packing, Planning, Shopping, packing the car, thinking about every ones needs for the next 4 days, cleaning the house ( because I can absolutely NOT leave the house to go on vacation if the house isn't spotless before we leave. For some reason that would be like not packing clothes to wear for me. Having a crisp clean house the moment I walk in from a vacation is very ahhhh moment.) Mat had to work until 30 minutes before we departed so all the preparing was up to me... and I let it fluster me to the point of tears and even told  the kids we might not even go because mommy was soo tired and we hadn't even left for camping yet. I was dreading all the work that camping can be with little kids.. but little did I know what a KOA camp ground was.........

Let me paint a picture for you...... 3 play grounds, a pool and spa, movie night on the lawn, clean bathrooms and shower ( not the coin operated ones.... a nice long shower for as long as you like :), petting zoo, small water park, hiking trail, beach volleyball court, and more..... a tent, fire pit and bbq....  best friends.... great food.... s'mores..... less than $45 a night!!!!! is what our camping trip looked like last weekend....  add in camp fire games, a dip in a fish pond,  koa cooked breakfast ( no one had to cook or clean up), husbands who did the bbqing and the dishes made for a  fun and amazingly relaxing weekend.  The kids had so much fun.. This is definitely our new favorite family vacation

This park was right across from our camp site. We could sit at our site and read and see the kids playing in the park!
when one kids is looking the other is not :)

Our pancake breakfast Sunday morning cooked by the KOA staff.. the fact that we didn't have to cook was actually better than the food itself though

The group hike after breakfast

The moms
The kids having fun by the fish pond..... they kept getting too close so we told them to watch out....

Well Mat went to look a little closer to the edge and right after telling the kids to watch out... He went for a little dip himself.. We were all so busy laughing and taking pictures we forgot to see if he needed help..oops :)
But let me tell you it was soo funny!

Mat is fishing for his flip flops here.....
They both eventually came plopping up to the surface
Good thing swimming in the pool was next on the to- do list

Mommy enjoyed watching the action from the pool deck
