Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and LET US RUN with endurance the race set before us, LOOKING UNTO JESUS, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." Heb 12:1&2

San Diego Photo Dump :)

* I started this post on our way home 2 weeks ago but blogger stopped working for 2 weeks and I wasn't able to finish this post.. But here it is 2 weeks late :)

We are driving home from spending 4 fun days in San Diego with Mimi and Papa. The weather was beautiful and the beach amazing. We said that if all our family could move there with us we would LOVE to live there! I mean shorts in January would defiantly be our thing.
I was a bit anxious about the 8hr drive with Addy but God answered prayers. We had a nice uneventful drive down. Only had to stop 2 times!
Addy was so happy to be out of the car:)

We hit the beach as soon as we got to the beautiful home Mimi and Papa rented for us.

Yes we are from Northern CA ! Even though it was about 60 and the sun was setting my kids were in shorts and in the water. A local gentleman said after seeing my kids said " oh boy don't you think you should get them out of there? It is freezing :)"

Kaitlyn wasn't too happy with the waves came up and gave her a surprise kiss :)
The view from the living room of the beach house

The kids loved the spa bathtub :)

I could get used to waking up to this beautiful view every morning!!

We took a nice morning walk the following morning.

My father-in-law posing for the grilling photo :)

The next day we were off to a fun day at the San Diego Zoo

Addy enjoyed lunch, well rather enjoyed eating the lunch menu

If only she would enjoy eating baby food as much as she enjoys eating paper, and plastic cups :)

Umm no caption needed.. the face explains it all :)

Little miss took a short nap in the stroller but then she was ready to bust out and see some animals or at least be held!

Mommy and her kiddos + a baby polar bear

Jayden taking a photo for mimi.. because we learned how much mimi LOVES elephants :)

After a full day of walking the WHOLE Zoo they were ready for a foot massage
Our last day was spent enjoying the beach, collecting sea shells, and body surfing,

Addy's first time touching sand. She loved playing with it. I made sure her binky stayed in so the sand wouldn't end up being lunch!

He so looks the part.. ♥ my little surfer boy ♥

To say he loves the water would be an understatement!

First time putting her toes in the Pacific Ocean. Not too amused:)

Thank you Papa & Mimi!

6 Months!!

I am 6 months

I am sitting up

I am in love with Kaitlyn. I get the biggest smile and squeal in delight each time I see her.

I don't like that mushy food stuff my crazy mommy keeps trying to give me. I would think that with all the gagging and crazy faces I make she would have gotten the point by now to stop trying to give it to me.

I loved  my 1st Christmas!

I have been sick and not sleeping good :(

I got my ear pierced- it hurt for a few minutes but then I forgot all about it

My mommy calls me coco-moco:)
Why I have no idea but I smile when she says it

 I love my doggie Deliah
She even lets me pull her hair

I love my binkie
When it falls out I pick it up and try and put it back in but I have a hard time getting it in the right way :)

I am Addison and I am 6 months already
Mommy says it is time to stop growing so fast!

5 months only month late :)

Addy turned 5 months right after Thanksgiving

She was actually a lot happier about it than she appears :)

Turning 5 months she realized that she can use her hands and grab lots of fun things while mommy is holding her... Like paper! She loves grabbing paper and trying to eat it. But mommy always interrupts the fun before she can take a bite.

Her favorite new game is peek- a -boo with her brothers and sister. It gets her to LOL
She also got to try food for the first time

The first few bites were ok but then the bib tasted oh so much better :)

I loved being 5 months but now that I am six it is time to post those pictures!

2013 is here!

We rang in the New Year by catching up on some much needed sleep. Exciting right??? :) The 3 older kids got to spend the night lighting fireworks, watching movies and eating good food at Nana's.. While mommy and daddy went to bed at 8:30pm. Yes, you read that right 8:30!!! We were both exhausted. Can't you tell :) Me from having a sick baby for a week and Mat from working 2 OT shifts last week. But we woke up refreshed and ready to take on the New Year.
Now that 2013 is here I wanted to make a list of resolutions/goals I would like to accomplish over the next 365 days. The top 15 in no certain order are....
~Get back in shape
~Finish memorizing Colossians
~Read 12 books
~Blog at least twice a week
~Have 2 unplugged days a month where we turn off everything electronic
~Be intentional about spending quality time with each kid each day- To not just be present but to spend some quality time with each one
~Pay off some debts and use our money in a more God glorify way
~Share the gospel by the way I live not just by what I say
~Start couponing again
~Open our home at least once a month to share a meal and get to know new people
~Start preschool with Kaitlyn, and finish 1st and 3rd grade for the boys
~Sew my 1st quilt and girls dress
~Try 1 month of freezer cooking
~Prioritize my time by seeking God's will in His word and prayer 1st so that I will go through my day with His strength and not mine.
~ Get at least last year’s digital photos printed and start Addy's scrapbook

I am not ready but thankful!

It is a week until we celebrate Thanksgiving. I feel like this year the holidays have just pounced upon me. I am so not ready! No fall decorations have gone up, pumpkins are still sitting right where we put them when we came home from the pumpkin patch.... on my front porch uncarved... untouched.... Thankful tree in still in the bin in the garage, and I haven't baked a thing yet. I mean a few days last week I was in shorts and flip flops which hasn't helped with the holiday feel :)!!!
This week however I was bound and determined to get into the holiday spirit. Better late than never I guess. Our normal history and science was put on the shelf to be replaced with craft supplies and thanksgiving books from the library. Instead of a thankful tree that we fill up the whole month of November, we are making thankful turkeys. I have all these wonderful dreams and ideas of what I want to do for the holidays in making memories and traditions ( pinterest doesn't help :) But in reality right now a good day is having my family fed, homeschool done and the house somewhat picked up. It is amazing how 4 kids has really changed my priorities! Also the things that have happened the last few months have shown me it isn't the things in life that are so important but the people... So this week before thanksgiving instead of worrying about decorating my mantel to look like my pinterest pin I want to worry about my filling my mind with reminders of what I am thankful for and decorating my heart with praise and joy to the giver of all things!

A few things I am thankful for tonight....

~ Time to sit with the house quiet (minus my barking dog) with kids sleeping soundly- and for the first time in months write out my thoughts... to blog!

~ I am thankful for trials because they remind me of what is important in life. That life is short and no one is promised tomorrow. That God's glory and strength is most seen in my weakness.

~ I am thankful for His word. Even though I haven't been treasuring it as I should lately, His mercies are new every morning.

~ I am thankful for my husband who's growth in the last few months has convicted and encouraged me!

~  I am thankful for interruptions because they remind me that I may plan my day but it is God who is directing my steps.. and interruptions aren't really interruptions but are God's sovereign deliveries :)

~ I am thankful for my undecorated house because it means one less thing to have to dust or clean :)

PS 100 "A Psalm for Thanksgiving. Shout joyfully to the LORD, all the earth. Serve the LORD with gladness; Come before Him with joyful singing. Know that the LORD Himself is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter His gates with thanksgiving And His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him, bless His name. For the LORD is good; His loving kindness is everlasting And His faithfulness to all generations."
